Believe It!

After an amazing Olympics it seems appropriate to do a themed post reflecting on some amazing facts from Vancouver 2010. Here they are...

- Canada broke an Olympic record for most gold medals won in a single games
- The opening ceremonies was the most watched television event ever in Canada (13.3 million)
- The Vancouver Games had an operating budget of $1.75 billion! (PLUS an additonal $900 million on security!)

And last but not least...
"Canada's men's Olympic ice hockey 5-3 group defeat to the United States became the most-watched sports programme in Canadian history with 10.6 million viewers -- over a third of the country's population."

CANADA YOU ROCK!!! So proud :D

  2. While 1.75 bil seems like a lot, I don't think it was nearly enough for them to pull off an "amazing" opening/closing ceremonies. It was kind of disappointing in that aspect, but GOOOO CANADAAAA (with the hockey and the golds :D)
