Half The Man He Used To Be

Last night The Biggest Loser finale aired and crowned Danny the winner. Danny lost a total of 239 pounds which equates to a total percentage of weight loss of 55.58%! Once a 430 pound man and now a lean 191! Congratulations Danny!

Other exciting news from the finale included a proposal and a sweet deal for Shay. Shay was the heaviest contestant in The Biggest Loser history (click here for previous post on her) and Subway has given her the offer of a lifetime to keep her on track. She will be returning on next season's finale and Subway will pay her $1,000 for every pound she has lost since yesterday. Her goal is to lose another 100 pounds... which equals $100,000! Best of luck Shay!

Check out Danny's final weigh in that made him The Biggest Loser below!

Walk It Out

As I sit in the library, peering outside wishing it would stop snowing so I could walk home more comfortably, I stopped to think about the benefits of the LTC bus strike. What is all this walking with my heavy school bag doing for me besides breaking my back?

Well did you know that according to Self Growth.com, research has shown that
"people who walk approximately 20-25 miles per week outlive those who don't walk by several years."

That's right ladies and gents! On average, every minute of walking can extend your life by 1.5 - 2 minutes! Not to mention that walking an extra 20 minutes a day (which is what most of us are doing) will burn off 7 pounds of body fat per year.

For an extensive list on the benefits of walking please click here.

Take that L.T.C!

When on vacation, Oasis of the Seas had many great odds posted. I thought they would make great FackSnacks. Did you know you have better odds of dating a millionaire than catching a ball at a major league ballgame? I like those odds...
